Our Story

Having owned my own bakery before, I was no stranger to making great cake, matter of fact I was pretty good at it. However years after closing shop, I never lost my love for making people happy with cake. In 2020, smack dab in the middle of a pandemic, and after losing everything the year prior, I knew

it was time to create magic again. This time I knew more people needed to enjoy what were the best cakes there are! So with $0 dollars in the bank, I raised the money to create and launch what is now Mary Alice Cakes, the first full-line of cakes mixes that is 100% woman-owned. Who knew what started as a dream would end up, in a very short nine months later, on retail shelves! 

I grew up in a family of exceptional cooks and bakers, and family time has always been important to us. We never had a family meal without desserts. My great, great aunt Mary Alice Sain was the matriarch of our family and was well- known for her baking, I even used some of her recipes in my bakery. She was a kind, gentle soul, and opened her home and kitchen to so many. This is a tribute of love to her.
